  • Description:
    The rectangular vermilion ink is octagonal when its four corners are cut off. The border has edges, and the edges are patterned with cloud patterns and bat patterns. On one side, the characters “Imperial Ink” and “Qianlong Xinmao Year System” (1771) were written in gold, and the characters “Orchid Pavilion Practice” were written in gold. On one side, the image of the Lantern Pavilion is printed. There are many people, in twos and threes, sitting by the flowing water, or discussing with each other, or writing on a piece of paper, or drawing a glass from the water, which is exactly the image described in Wang Xizhi’s Preface to the Lantern Pavilion Collection.
