- Description:
Yun Shouping (1633-1690 AD) was born in Wujin, Jiangsu Province. At the beginning of the name, the word Shouping was followed by a line of words. The poem is the first of the six escapes in Piling, and the painting is the same as the four kings and Wu Li in the early Qing Dynasty. He was good at painting landscapes, but later he felt unable to compete with Wang Hui. Instead, he specialized in flowers. Xu Chongsi, with his unique style, was the master of flower painting in the Qing Dynasty. This is Yun Shouping’s painting of the ancient cypresses in Yu Cave when he visited Jinghu Lake, Qiantang, Zhejiang Province to explore Yu Cave. In the painting, the ancient cypresses are vigorous and strange, and the bamboos and stones are quiet, light and sparse, which symbolize the noble mind of Qin Qi.
