Emperor Qianlong obtained two pieces of side paper in Zhejiang. It is said that they were made with seaweed in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He wrote a poem on side paper when he was happy. The poem describes the seamless and oblique curtain lines of the cylindrical side lining paper. It mentions that one is used for writing, and the other should be the “ancient side lining paper” of our hospital.
