The rectangular purple inkstone, with a wide inkstone hall, has a circular dimple in the center to receive ink, and the inkstone head has an oval ribbed groove as the inkstone pool. The whole device is plain without lines. The back of the inkstone is surrounded by wide ridges, and the box is engraved with a regular script, which reads, “Out of heaven, better than jade, carved for research, pure and refined, and ordered several literary works to be saved repeatedly.” And seal “A few moments of pleasure”. There is an inkstone box with yellow, green, pine, stone, bamboo branches.
