  • Description:
According to the imperial title of Qianlong Yichou (1745), this painting is a reindeer produced in the East China Sea presented by General Ning Guta. It is as gentle as a cow and very close to the elk. From the perspective of the size of the painting, there is an intention to depict the original size of animals, which is the same as that of other Lang Shining’s paintings of horses and dogs. The reindeer’s eyes in the painting have a delicate highlight treatment, and the fur color is also subtly mastered, especially the expression of the reindeer’s facial expression, which seems to let the viewer feel its tame and lovely character. There is no style in this drawing, but the painting standard may be from Lang Shining.
