The flat belly is as round as the full moon, and the neck and shoulders are connected by barb shaped ears, which looks like holding the moon, hence the name. This shape is common in Ming and Qing porcelain. The outer wall of the abdomen is bounded by a square, and the interior of the square is decorated with complex dragon patterns. This form is imitated from the bronze flat pot of the Warring States Period.
