    When Emperor Qianlong stopped in Hangzhou for the second time during his southern tour in the 22nd year of Qianlong’s reign (1757), he visited Guanxiu (832-912) Statue of the Sixteen Arhats in the West Lake Shengyin Temple and sent it to the palace. During his stay in the imperial palace, the Emperor Qianlong reviewed the order and name, ordered Ding Guanpeng to copy it, and wrote a calligraphy on the painting. This set of Arhat statues was repacked into the drawer box and returned to the Holy Mosque on June 20. After the Emperor Qianlong reordered and named them, the sixteen Arhats became a new model of the system and images of the Arhats in the Qianlong Dynasty, and derived cultural relics of various materials, which can be described as the development of the Southern Tour
