Wang Yuanqi (1642-1715), a native of Taicang, Jiangsu Province, has the name Maojing and the name Lutai. One of the four painters in the early Qing Dynasty and the grandson of Wang Shimin (1592-1680), painting inherited the family theory. In the ninth year of the reign of Kangxi (1670), he was a scholar, and served as a senior official.
