  • Description:
In the corner where the pink roses are in bloom, there are two red crowned cranes. One was looking back to trim his hair, while the other looked back slightly, as if he was looking after two young cranes that had not yet had feathers. The vividly depicted crane feathers not only have hairiness details but also have luster effect. Such luster processing characteristics are also shown in the plants in the painting, no matter roses or irises, they are delicately depicted. The young crane depicted in this painting is not a common painting theme. Emperor Qianlong once wrote about the young crane in his poem that “the crane’s young just come out of the shell, and then it will have the feeling of flying clouds”. The upright posture of the young crane in the painting may be echoed.
