Dong Bangda (1699-1769), a native of Fuyang, Zhejiang, was named Dongshan. Yongzheng Guichou (1733) was a scholar. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, he was assessed with erudition and excellence, and was appointed to the internal court. He compiled the Shiqu Treasure Collection and became the official secretary of the Ministry of Rites.
