Dai Tianrui, born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, has the name Xitang, No. Ben Garden. The time of life and death is unknown, but there are poems written by Kangxi and self signed funds on the canvas. It is speculated that they must be worshipped by the Inner Court Painting Academy when they served as the Holy Ancestor. He is good at painting landscapes, and he also works on freehand brushwork of water plants and scales. He can especially use his fingers to paint landscapes. This landscape is painted with his fingers. All the trees and stones are painted with ink and water on his fingernails and fingers, fine hook and heavy dye. In addition to doing his best with the brush, he has a taste that the brush can’t reach.
