A pair of white jade birds and ochre jade quails are stored in small oblate boxes with blue glass painted gold and gilt edged. The lid of the box is decorated with painted enamel bouquets and wild geese and ducks in the water. The body and bottom of the box are decorated with continuous diamond grid sections and painted with gold grass leaf patterns. The blue ground reflects the gold, and the cut surface reflects light, which has a gorgeous decorative effect.
