The jasper, mixed with black dotted inclusions, should be the amphibole metamorphosed from serpentinized ultrabasic rocks. It is carved into a heavy market. In the center of the bottom of the vessel is carved a four character seal script made in the year of Qianlong. It is equipped with a back cloth cover. It may be the jade objects contributed by Xinjiang. Because Xinjiang had been conquered by the Qing army at that time, Emperor Qianlong believed that they were all made by his people.
