  • Description:
The painted ingots are five colors: white, slate, cinnabar, stone green, and stone yellow. A total of ten pieces are stored in a black lacquer box with gold painted double dragons inlaid in mother of pearl, called “Royal Wanchun Collection of Five Color Painted Ingots”, which was made in the year of Jiaqing Zisi (the 14th year, 1809). The painting ingots were drawn from the book of “Wanchun Jiqing” written by the Emperor of Jiaqing in the seventh year of Renxu (1802), which is now in our hospital. Since the “Sound of Spring in Wanhu”, they have been titled with “Wan” and “Spring”. There are ten pieces of landscape paintings with different colors, and each piece has a poem written by the Emperor of Jiaqing. On the one hand, it is a poem written in regular script, and on the other hand, it is a representative of ink making technology in the Jiaqing period, based on Dong Gao’s painting, which captures important elements and re composes the picture.
