Vajra hook was originally a hook used by elephant trainers to control and tame wild elephants. In Buddhism, “wild elephants” are compared to untamed hearts. The Vajra hook is usually used together with a lasso. The right hand of all the worshippers, which represents “convenience”, knots the seal of Vajra hook to control or hook up all the evil karma of all living beings and turn them towards the road of liberation from samsara.
