The exhibits have wide open edges, short necks, sloping shoulders, large abdomens that fold downward and shallow feet. The body is thick and heavy, and the surface is painted with white glaze. The glaze is painted with various pastels to depict banana leaves, tangled crocus flowers, four seasons flowers and ganoderma lucidum. Part of the design is painted with gold thread. The inside and bottom of the vessel are all painted with lake green glaze, and the bottom center is made of six character seal characters in blue and white calligraphy, “made in the year of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty”. As far as the decorative style is concerned, this work fully demonstrates the unique style of Qianlong official kiln, which is full of realistic and patterned flowers. Even within the partition lines of banana leaves, lotus petals and shoulders, flowers and circles are also decorated. What’s more, the details of each pattern are extremely exquisite, and they will never be hasty because of the complexity and detail of the patterns. It shows that in a technology oriented era, plane porcelain painting also takes exquisite pens as its ability.
