  • Description:
The whole device is like a longitudinally split half device, which is in the shape of a half faced double bat bottle with a seat. The back of the device is flat, and it can be fastened to the wall or sedan chair with holes, so it is called a wall bottle or sedan chair bottle. It is called a car bottle in the archives. This type of utensil was first seen in the Xuande Dynasty of the Ming Dynasty and prevailed in the Qianlong Period of the Qing Dynasty. The outer wall of this bottle is painted with colorful glaze on the yellow ground, and the main theme is the leaves of the lotus. A poem written by Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty was written on the open wall of the abdomen and on the white ground inside: “The yellow picture of the quiet calendar is purple, and the flowers in autumn and spring are full of flowers. You can often look at it without thanks, and the hairpin should be half slanted. Don’t worry about hooking bees and attracting butterflies, but only about the dew and steaming clouds. Wenshu showed a wonderful truth yesterday, and the rain is excellent for bowl flowers.” At the end of the poem, there are two “Qian” and “Long” seals described in red ink. The red glaze gold color calligraphy “made in the year of Qianlong” in the bottom foot is a single line horizontal seal script.
