  • Description:
The mouth is slightly closed, the neck is long and thin, the abdomen is sagging like a gall bladder, and the feet are short. The whole body is covered with blue glaze. Because the glaze color itself is opaque, viscous, and flows slowly, the uniform glaze becomes easier to burn, overlapping upper and lower, and has different colors. During the reign of Emperor Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, Tang Ying, the pottery governor, sent Wu Yaopu to Junzhou to investigate the kiln site in order to match the emperor’s taste in ancient times. From Tang Ying’s poem “Send Wu Yaopu to the Capital State in Late Spring”, we can understand the situation and love of Jun porcelain in the Qing Dynasty. Although the Qianlong Dynasty followed the Jun glaze imitations since Yongzheng, due to the different tastes of the emperors, the shape and glaze color of the handed down Jun porcelain were different.
