Qing Palace Works, 18th Century. A bottle with a long neck and a hoop edge on the neck; The bottle body is wide with shoulders and abdomen, and wide with feet; The outer wall depicts red alum lotus petals, lotus flowers and other patterns. It was a newly added shape during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, originally recorded as “nectar bottle”. According to the records of the Qing Palace, on February 22 and the first day of May in the 11th year of Qianlong’s reign, Jingdezhen once burned a “white ground safflower nectar bottle”; The tribute list of the 29th year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong also listed “blue and white nectar bottle”, which shows that this shape is a kind of porcelain of official kilns and a container for holding auspicious holy water; The bottle can be inserted with grass to sprinkle nectar, so it is called “Tibetan Grass Bottle”.
