  • Form: 冊(摺裝‧方幅式)
  • Description:
Wang Shu (1668-1743) was a famous expert in the identification of stele inscriptions in the early Qing Dynasty, and he was also good at seal calligraphy. His Xu Zhou Inscriptions and Postscripts said that “Curse Chu Wen” was the work of King Huiwen of Qin (356-311 BC) who cursed King Huai of Chu (355-296 BC). This painting of “Lin Curse Chu Wen” was painted in 1727. In terms of shape, it can be said to follow the original work, but the lines are more sharp at the beginning and end, and the ink color also has obvious changes, showing the interest of writing with brush strokes such as “lift”, “press”, “fast” and “slow”.
