  • Description:
The blue and white porcelain vase, with a short neck, a broad shoulder, a stepped bottom and a short circle of feet, has a dignified shape and is commonly known as the “Guanyin bottle”. It is a type of porcelain that appeared in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. The bottle body is decorated with lotus petal shaped lines, and then filled with patterns by flat painting, dot and line. Learning from the perspective techniques of western paintings, we can make distant mountains and rivers, mountain ranges, pavilions, towers, bridges and forests show a three-dimensional sense of yin and yang opposite to each other. Dense ornamentation and bright colors, but the landscape pavilion painting style is quiet and fresh, which is the unique landscape atmosphere of the Kangxi period. The opening edge of this exhibition piece is slightly damaged, so the Qing royal family added metal buckles to protect it. The Vung Tau Wreck (sunk in about 1690) was once full of blue and white porcelain with similar shapes and patterns. It was originally planned to go to The port of Badavia in Indonesia and transfer it to Europe for sale
