The flat round body of the pot is decorated with colorful clouds on the black ground, which seems to symbolize a fairyland. The two sides of the pot are decorated with small landscape paintings, one side with double rabbits and ganoderma lucidum, and the other side with double rabbits on the river bank. With painted enamel cover, matched with ivory spoon, the cover is decorated with flowers and curly grass patterns on the front. The small landscape painting made in the limited space is extremely detailed, with rabbit hair, rock texture, and patches of flowers and grass background meticulously presented. On the bottom is the Song typeface “made in Yongzheng year” with white ground, blue square and red script. Work Files It is mentioned in the enamel records made in the eighth year of Yongzheng’s reign (1730) that in the ninth year of Yongzheng’s reign (1731), the “black enamel colorful cloud painting jade rabbit autumn incense snuff bottle” was fired, which may be this snuff bottle.
