The sword case is decorated with zigzag lines. The twelve characters of the inscription are engraved with gold and silver wire at the end of the sword handle. It is a variant seal script popular in the south, that is, an artistic form of ancient Chinese characters of the Warring States Period. The Zhiben sword should be “not only a sword issued by the King of Yue”, which means “Buyang (Yi)”, the son of Zhu Ju (a state sentence), the King of Yue
