  • Description:
This close shot depicts a scene of scattered mountain houses, dense forests and turbulent streams. Behind the mountain mist, there is a huge mountain with triangles stacked backwards. The moist and long texture of linen is used to sketch the outline of rocks and mountains, and then ochre and juicy green are covered to make the picture brighter and more decorative. The motif, composition, and mountain composition of this painting are similar to the “imitating Huang Gongwang’s view of Dong Yuanxia Mountain”. However, the vegetation is lush, the mountains are thick, and the earth rock platforms are all over the place. The moss spots with the method of texturing and side painting are close to the painters’ understanding of Huang Gongwang’s “thick mountains, lush vegetation” in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. This axis was written by Mr. Jinweng, a friend, in the Kangxi Gengxu (1670).
