  • Description:
Straight mouth, short neck, plump shoulders, large abdomen, full upper part and lower part, a concave edge near the foot, flat bottom, lying on the foot, with arched round button cover. The whole body is covered with blue glaze, the glaze color is uniform and elegant, the fetal bone is uniform and light, and the texture is firm and delicate. The blue and white script “made in the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty” has six characters and two lines in regular script. In the Yongzheng period, there were many blue glazed or blue and white tea cans. It can be seen that Emperor Yongzheng was good at tea tasting. Although his poems and essays about tea drinking were rare, it was frequently seen in the Memorial to the Yongzheng Dynasty in the Middle of the Palace that he rewarded ministers with tribute tea, often with bottles of tea and sometimes with tea bowls. It can be imagined that the palace was prosperous in tea drinking during the Yongzheng period, so there were so many kinds of tea bowls, teapots and tea cans left in the palace.
