• Description:
  This bowl has a long mouth, a deep arc wall and a short circle. The inside of the utensil is plain without lines. The outside wall is painted with twigs and bamboo poles, and there are two magpies looking back and looking up. On the other side of the outer wall, there are two lines written in ink: “Whisking the feathers, beautiful flowers, and piercing the forest and trees”. The two lines are based on Chen Yu’s poem “Flowers, branches and magpies alone” in the Ming Dynasty. They just change the word “falling” of “falling” in the poem to the more auspicious word “beautiful”. There are three red seals in front of the poem, “Phoenix Picking”, and behind it, “Binran” (in white) and “Gentleman”. The bottom of the utensil is provided with two lines of blue Song typeface made in Yongzheng year.
