  • Description:
Jade quality. The idea of the shape of the vessel came from Cong, an important jade ritual vessel in Liangzhu culture in the late Neolithic Age, but it was not completely transplanted. Basically, the shape of the square column, the central part of which is a round tube with protruding ends, and the central part of the four walls has straight grooves roughly conform to the original appearance. However, the utility model has a bottom at one end, which is different from the practice that the circular hole at the center of the cong is a through hole. In addition, the most special decorative structure of Liangzhu jade cong, the eye pattern, is only replaced by a long square. The bottom of the vessel is engraved with “made in the year of Qianlong”.
