It is made of sapphire. The shape of the utensil is a one horned winged beast, with long whiskers and curly tails in fine and neat lines. It carries a square statue in the shape of a goblet, with elephant ear rings on both sides of the statue. In the bronze vessels of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, there were indeed those made into animal shapes; However, there is no one who has been made into animal shape and has attached a Gu or an artifact to its back. It may be an artifact of the Song and Yuan Dynasties after the popularity of archaizing. The single line clerical script “Imitation of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty” is carved along the lip of the square statue.
