- Description:
This grid is the “red sandalwood inlaid with bamboo silk turntable grid” recorded in the Work Records in the 31st year of Qianlong’s reign (1766). At that time, it was required to match the wooden seat and the hand roll album. The appearance is made by splicing and pasting the lotus pattern on the bamboo silk. When it is closed, it is cylindrical. When it is opened, the column is divided into four equal parts, and is decorated with bamboo yellow, displayed in rows, or can become a square column. The craftsman skillfully used a quarter of the cylindrical space to interlace it into a wonderful and interesting grid. All jade articles in the small lattice are equipped with suitable wooden bases. From left to right, you can see that the first and third compartments are decorated with traditional wood carvings, with the concept of bamboo drawer cabinet, integrating jade, calligraphy and painting. The second and fourth grids use western rotary tables to make various decorative pillars, and then use circular turntables to make circular glass paintings of western pavilions, so that the placed jade can be presented in a rotating way
