    This tooth bone inlaid rosewood suitcase is opened by pulling it up from the side panel. The base plate has a metal handle. The handle slowly pulls the base plate, and then the “hundreds of pieces” paint box (hence lacquer 374) inside is pulled out for enjoyment.
