A small gold box was attached to the floating stones during the Qianlong period. According to the records in the Work Archives of the 23rd year of Qianlong’s reign (1758), “two pieces of floating stones were placed in a small gold box with a glass box, and Bogugene was used to make a cotton and silk drawer with a red sandalwood box”. In the 23rd year of the reign of Emperor Qianlong, it was required to have dragon red sandalwood caskets, and the imperial poems of Emperor Qianlong were engraved in the gold box cover and red sandalwood box cover. From the carving of the outer box and the making of the inner cotton drawer, we can see the Emperor Qianlong’s requirements for packaging.
