- Description:
Liu Bang, the Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty, was born in Fengyi County, Benpei County. After he became emperor, he made Chang’an his capital. Because his father had been thinking of returning to the east for a long time, the Emperor Gaozu built the city of Li. The city was decorated as Fengyi, and the people of Fengyi were moved to the city, which was called Xinfeng. The poems and essays of Qianlong written by Zhang Ruowan record this allusion. According to the postscript poems, the painting is ostensibly depicting the city scene of Xinfeng, but from the perspective of painting effect, it was painted by Tang Dai and other court painters, with beautiful colors and gorgeous buildings, which is full of the characteristics of Qing palace painting; The composition adopts the perspective of bird’s-eye view of the whole picture, which reveals the effect of western perspective.
