- Image Number: K1K003855N000000000PAD
- Dynasty: Qing dynasty
- Category: Paintings
- Function: Stationery
- Material: Plants/Paper/
- Description:
The pages of the booklet are five in length, with the signature of “Zhang Pengchong’s Painting of the Wind, Flowers, Snow and Moon” on the cover, and the inner page is in the form of a picture and a text. The four groups of pictures and texts were all written by Zhang Pengchong. They were respectively themed with “wind”, “flower”, “snow” and “moon”. The pictures are all in a simple two-part composition. For example, the “wind” picture is displayed by using colors to lightly smear the wind willows in the distant mountains, and the “flower” picture is painted with the distant mountains and the flowers in the forest. If you look at the poem “The Moon” in the picture, “Drink the Mid Autumn Moon every year for a long life”, together with the fact that Emperor Qianlong was born in August, you can see that this work is probably a birthday invitation specially designed by Zhang Pengchong.
