  • Description:
Ding Guanpeng began to paint in the palace in the fourth year of Emperor Yongzheng’s reign (1726). After the Qianlong Dynasty, he gradually gained a reputation. In the 35th year of Emperor Qianlong’s reign (1770), he left his post due to illness without any other records. Ding Guanpeng often imitates ancient paintings, such as Xiyuan Yaji, Luoshen Fu and other landscape figure paintings, and has also copied religious themes such as the origin of the practice world, five stars and twenty eight constellations. This is the March of the 12th year of Qianlong’s reign (1747). Ding Guanpeng was ordered to copy the Four Filial Pieties of the Yuan Dynasty. Most of the composition details were similar, but the paper version was changed, and the western method was used to apply color to increase the brightness. Although it is a temporary work, it has added new ideas visually.
