Dong Bangda (1699-1769 AD) was born in Fuyang, Zhejiang Province. The word Fucun is named Dongshan. He was a scholar in the 11th year of Emperor Yongzheng’s reign. Because of his profound knowledge, he was ordered to compile books in the imperial court during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, such as the Collection of Stone Canal Treasures, the Pearl Forest in the Secret Hall, and the Ancient Classics of the Western Qing Dynasty.
