• Description:
  Copper tire, which imitates the shape of beans in the early Warring States Period. In the later period, this kind of vessel became a sacrificial vessel, or a tableware or utility vessel. The light blue ground of the whole vessel is made of silk and tendrils, decorated with various animals, such as birds, dogs, sheep, cattle, tigers, monkeys, rabbits, deer, elephants, mountain ghosts, and the Monkey King. The inside of the vessel is plain gold plated, and the bottom is cast with the inscription of “Made in the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty” in a rectangular box in three line regular script. This is the only piece of filigree enamel decorated with simple realistic animal patterns in the Qing Palace.
