Metal carving is also a commonly used decorative technique for snuff boxes. The silver box with a carved lid is decorated with western style curly leaf lace and patterns on the front. The traditional Chinese auspicious patterns, such as Ruyi, Panchang, bat and peach branches, are inside Kaiguang. The box is exquisitely carved, integrating Chinese and Western exquisite boxes, and there is a glass mirror inside the lid.
