Bottle shaped mirror, the mirror surface is plain without lines, and the mirror ears on both sides are Capricorn shaped. The mirror back is welded and embedded, and the upper part has a round hole for hanging. The lotus petal pattern on the mouth and bottom of the bottle, the cloud pattern on the neck and the cloud shoulder type light opening above the belly of the bottle show the image of a binaural porcelain bottle. In the belly, there are reliefs of the Jade Rabbit Watching the Moon, lined with tangled flowers. In the middle of the neck is a framed inscription of “Hu Dong Youzuo, Ji’an Road”. On the abdomen, there is a square couplet with the words “a gentleman is wise” and “a beautiful woman sees her as clean”. Ji’an is Jizhou in the Song Dynasty. In the first year of Emperor Renzong’s reign in the Yuan Dynasty (1321), it was changed to Ji’an Road, which is located in the central part of Jiangxi today. Hu Dong is a famous mirror casting craftsman in this place. One of the characteristics of mirror casting is that it has porcelain patterns and aesthetic taste popular at that time.
