On the top of the silk crown, two golden phoenixes are placed on the lotus petal shaped pedestal, and a tan cat’s eye stone is embedded on the top. The crown, front belly and tail feathers of Feng Zhai are inlaid with large and small pearls, including 11 round east pearls. It is the crown of imperial concubine. 〔 Crown top] The crown top system of the Qing Dynasty can be traced back to before entering the customs. During the reign of Emperor Taizu Nurhachi, he ordered “a golden top hat given by all the nobles and ministers”, which was the humble form of the clothing system of the Qing Dynasty “decorated with golden top”. During Emperor Taizong’s reign of Chongde, a more detailed crown system was revised, including the specifications for the form of Jinding, the number, grade, and use class of Dongzhu and various gemstones. After the imperial edicts of Shunzhi, Kangxi, Yongzhou and Qianlong, it was recorded and painted in the “Imperial Ritual Ware Pattern” in the 24th year of Qianlong’s reign (1759).
