- Dynasty: Qing dynasty
- Category: Ceramics
- Function: Container
- Material: Mineral/ceramic/porcelain
- Description:
Open plate, slightly skimming, deep wall down, flat bottom, round foot. The whole vessel is painted with dark brown glaze, and then filled with yellow glaze, brown glaze, and green glaze of different depths. The outer wall is a large blossoming twig flower leaf, and the inner wall and the bottom center are painted with pomegranates. The underglaze blue and white book “made in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty” is in regular script with three lines and six characters, with double circles. A closer examination of the table shows that both the inner and outer walls are decorated with dragon patterns, and the painted patterns are directly painted on the patterns of the fetal walls. It can be seen that this was made by taking ready-made porcelain and painting it directly in the Kangxi Dynasty, perhaps to test the color rendering and adhesion ability of the colored glaze under various conditions.
