Jade is white and bright. Butterfly shaped small box, with child and mother openings, shallow straight wall, flat bottom, and upper cover approximately equal to the body. The butterfly is in the shape of spreading wings, with its horns and its chest and abdomen carefully carved. Its wings are symmetrical and gorgeous, and it has both realistic and decorative beauty. Attached wooden base. This piece was included in the Dobboge “Jiqiongzao” made in the Qianlong period. According to the original two layers of 73 pieces contained in the Jiqiongzao booklet, they were stored in wooden boxes inlaid with animal bones in Luodian.
