Skull bowl, with yellow outer wall. The inner wall is inlaid with gold-plated silver lining. The inner wall is carved with Tibetan characters and pasted with a yellow sign: “No. 63, six Gabla bowls.” Flowers and dots on the mouth edge are all inlaid with turquoise, but they have fallen off. The Gabla bowl is made from the skull of a person who made a vow before his death. After strict examination and approval by the Great Lama, it is made into a utensil and presented to the Buddha.
